Hi there blogosphere. It has been a while since I have given an update! (sorry)
Not much new has happened to report. After my last update I had to take almost an entire week off of training. I was not a happy camper! As I mentioned in my last post, my kiddos came down with RSV and I caught it as well. Blah! Everybody got better. For a couple of weeks... Now it seems that the same thing is going around again and I think the kids and I have caught it again. I am determined not to miss any training this time around though! I. Hate. Being. Sick.
After that time off to heal, I picked back up where I stopped. I could tell my strength wasn't fully back for a week or so, but had to push through it to get ready for this month! Nothing new in my training routine, just some training and preparation for a busy month in March. My last update was on February 12th. I'll keep a similar format to keep it easy (and it makes it easy for me to compare progress looking back).
Here is a snapshot of my runs since the last update:
I have been fighting with my pace lately which I am not too pleased about, but am chalking it up to being more tired and breathing issues. My run this past Saturday was in preparation for the half marathon on March 30th. It was the course (well close to it if I didn't take a wrong turn!??!?!) that will be run for the actual race. That will help me with my fears of not being able to complete it. My pace was a little slower than normal, but I was with a running partner and we took it steady and easy to enjoy the scenery and conversation. I hope to beat that pace and time for the actual race.
That's about all for now. This Saturday is a 10-miler race that should be nice. The property and venue is amazing and it looks like the temps are starting to swing upwards for race day. I hope the temps start getting warmer and this sickness gets out of our house! One last thing, later this month marks the one year anniversary of the first day I started running. A post will be coming on that I am sure! What do y'all have going on for March?
That's it for now blogosphere, until next time...

You are seriously so fast even when you are struggling. Most people would kill for a sub 2 hr half. Good luck on Saturday! We have a 5k. John and I are going to race each other. I think he's going to kick my rear but don't tell him I said that!
