Half Way Point!!!

Yep, that's right, I am half way finished with P90X!  Sunday marked the end of week six.  I can't believe I am already half way through this program.  It feels like it hasn't been long at all.

While I am happy to be half way finished, I still have to give week six updates.  Let me start by saying that this week completely stunk!  It wasn't a regular week at all.  For those of you that know me, you know that I am a creature of habit.  This past week was anything but that.

What happened you ask?  Good question!  I. GOT. SICK.  Blah!  Monday morning I did my regular workout (chest, triceps, and shoulders) and then proceeded to get ready for the day.  Abby and I went in to get baby A up and I said "it smells like puke in here."  Sure enough!  Baby A had puked that night.  And she slept in it, gross!!!!  That is her though, she is chill like that.  Just like her daddy (cue eye roll here).  Anyway, Abby stayed home with her and I went into the office for most of the day.  Everything felt pretty normal, you know a typical Monday.  I left the office around 2-ish to relieve Abby so she could get some hours in at work.

The day went on and I was supposed to meet a buddy at Applebee's that night at 6.  When Abby got home I said "I'm not feeling so hot, but I am fine."  Fast forward an hour, I am walking into the place with my friend and right then, as soon as I smelled the food, I knew it wasn't a good thing.  Anyway, we sit down, get some waters and start to talk and look over menu.  It hit me!  I am not feeling well at all.  We ordered food to go.  I got a salad for Abby and nothing for me and off I went home.  Shortly after, there it was, I was face to face with the wonderful toilet.  Yep, that is how the rest of the night went for me.  Baby A also puked one more time, of course in her bed so we had to change the sheets one more time.

So that was that.  Tuesday I stayed home from work (which is a first in over a year) and kept baby A as well.  No. More. Sprout.  That is all I have to say about that.  But we were on the mend.  Obviously no workout for me Tuesday morning (other than the overnight abdominal workout from dry heaving).  Wednesday I woke up and wasn't feeling too well, but had to get to work for some meetings, so I went in.  I felt okay and could tell I was better, but still just weak.  So no workout on Wednesday either.

By Thursday I was bound and determined to be fine, so I did my 4:30am workout again and kept up the rest of the weekend.  Now we are all doing pretty good, except Abby has been sick.  Not sure if it is the bug or being preggo.  Hopefully she will get better very soon!  Anyway, I ended up skipping two days of workouts.  I moved my workouts around and ended up skipping Plyometrics and Yoga X.  Both of those are more cardio and stretching and less resistance which is what I like.  However, I think that might have hurt me in the long run of the week.

I say that to prepare you for my results for the week.  They aren't what I would like to see, but I just have to work harder to fix it this week!  To top things off, I was really really bad this weekend with my food choices!  Lots of Diet Coke and lots of eating out.  I don't even want to think about the calories, fat, salt, and sugar that was consumed; just know it was not good for me!

OK, so where are the results?  Here they are:

Weight ------------------------------------------------- 153.6 lbs.
Body Fat % --------------------------------------------- 18.3%
Water % ------------------------------------------------ 59.6%

Wait, what?!?!?!  Yes, I know, I gained 3 pounds.  Again, not too concerned with that since I planned on gaining weight as muscle weighs more than fat, but the other figures I don't like at all!  I gained 0.4% body fat and lost 0.3% water weight!  Those are the wrong direction!  Argh!

So now here I am, Monday morning.  Time to refocus and get better!  Until next time blogosphere...

Hey - I'm impressed you even worked out on Friday. Most of us would have taken a way longer recoup grace period! Good for you! I'm sure you'll be right back where you want at the end of the week.
