But when I woke up on Sunday, I felt bad for not doing my Saturday workout and also eating out so much while we were travelling. So, I laced up the shoes (looser this time) and took off.
I took a different route than last time as there were some very mean hills on that one. It felt good! The sun beating down on my back was nice compared to a very early morning run. However, there was much more traffic and it was actually quite warm! Here is how I did:
Yep, I actually went a little further this time (a little more than .20 miles) AND I cut my pace from 8:45/mile to 8:07/mile. I was pretty happy with that. I honestly didn't think I would be as fast this time. I thought my pace last pace was due to adrenaline of a first run. I guess not. I do have to note that I took about a 30 - 45 second break a little after the 2 mile mark. I was having a bit trouble with my lungs opening up the way I need them to and noticed that my heart rate was well above 200 BPM, so I wanted to get it back down. I did so and was able to finish just fine. Stinking hills I tell ya!!!
Well, that is all I have for now. Hopefully I can keep this up. It will be interesting to see if I am able to keep this pace or if it is just a fluke. For you runners out there, should I stick to a shorter distance like this and work on keeping/improving pace? Or should I work on longer distance and not worry about the pace? I would love your feedback!
Until next time blogosphere...

Awesome. Maybe after Greyson is born I can convince you to do a half with me?
